Originally written for my parents, friends, and family for Christmas gifts in December 1992. I wrote and arranged this album in a week between my time off from the Scoring For Motion Pictures and Television program at USC and when I was to return home to Minnesota for Christmas break.

For the time, my studio setup was pretty extensive. The album was recorded with the following synths and keyboards: Emu Proteus 1 & 2, Roland D-70, Roland 550, Yamaha DX-7 iifd, Yamaha TX-7, Alesis HR-16 drum machine, Alesis Midiverb II & Alesis Microverb. Synths are all routed through a Roland Boss line mixer into a Fostex 260 4 track and then directly into a Tascam DAT machine. All music was sequenced on a Macintosh SE20 recording with Mark of the Unicorn Performer Software. This was way before Digital Performer and the Mac only had a 20-megabyte hard drive.

Lo! How a Rose E'er Blooming was recorded live in Maplewood, MN earlier in 1992. It was a combination of a midi organ and a live recording of me playing piano along with the midi sequenced organ.
